CAS Research Network member Eleni Chatzivgeri, has co-authored a paper which critically evaluates the VfM reports published by the NHS, the UK police authorities, the National Audit Office and His Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services. The study argues that VfM audit, in its current form, fails to capture the actual state of affairs in these UK public organizations which therefore significantly curtails the benefits of the VfM exercise to public bodies.
